We would rather show the method than describe it. A page is made of these parts.

• Specification fields as the maker states them, mapped into one shape so that two products can be read against each other.
• A price, taken from the listing on the day the page was last refreshed.
• A crowd score — Amazon’s buyer average. We hold one for 2,452 of 2,466 products.
• A photograph from the listing; 2,464 of 2,466 products have one on file.

About the stars

When you see a score here, it belongs to Amazon’s buyers, not to us. We report the average as published. There is no house rating on this site.

What we have not done

We have not tested any of these products. No unit has been ordered, unboxed, measured or lived with. Anything that only reveals itself in use — how loud it is, how it holds up, whether the app is any good — is outside what this site can tell you.

Selection

Products come onto a page because they are the ones sold under the search a reader is likely to run. We do not accept payment for inclusion, and no brand has been given a place on a list.

About the prices

The price on a page was true when it was read and may not be true now. Amazon changes prices often, sometimes several times a day. Treat every figure here as a marker, and take the price on Amazon as the real one.

If we got it wrong

We would rather be told than be wrong quietly. Use the contact page, name the page and say what is off. We edit the page rather than append a correction notice.
